1 Who we are

Bassy Events is a ticketing and event management platform operated by Bassy Technologies. When you book a ticket through Bassy Events, or run events as a business on the platform, we are what's called a data controller for the personal data described below, meaning we decide how and why it's collected and used.

2 What we collect

We only collect what we genuinely need to run the platform properly. Depending on how you use Bassy Events, that includes:

  • If you book a ticket: your name, email address, and phone number if you give one, plus the details of what you booked.
  • If you run a business on Bassy Events: your business name, contact name, email, phone number, and bank details for payouts (held securely by Stripe, not by us directly).
  • If you contact support: whatever you tell us in your message, so we can actually help.
  • Automatically: basic technical details like your browser type and general device information, so the site renders correctly and we can catch real bugs.

3 Why we collect it

Every piece of data above exists to make a real, specific part of the platform work: confirming your booking, sending you your ticket, letting an organiser reach you about their event, processing a refund, or paying out a business for their ticket sales. We don't collect data speculatively, and we don't use it for anything beyond running Bassy Events and keeping it secure.

4 Payments

All card payments are processed directly by Stripe. We never see, handle, or store your full card number.

When you pay for a ticket, your card details go straight to Stripe, a payment processor used by millions of businesses worldwide. We only ever receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the amount and a reference, never your actual card number or security code.

5 Who we share it with

We share only what's genuinely necessary, and only with these:

  • Stripe, to process payments and payouts.
  • The organiser of an event you've booked, so they can manage attendees, contact you about the event, and handle check in on the day.
  • Our email provider, to actually deliver booking confirmations, receipts, and account emails to your inbox.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

6 Cookies

Bassy Events uses a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences as you move between pages. These are essential to how the site actually works, without them, staying logged in wouldn't be possible. We don't use cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites.

7 How long we keep it

We keep booking and account data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet real legal and accounting obligations, such as tax records tied to a completed payment. If you delete your account, we remove what we genuinely can straight away, and the rest once it's no longer required to be kept.

8 Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you genuinely have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete your data, where we're not required to keep it for a legal reason
  • Ask us to restrict or object to certain uses of your data

You can request any of this any time by contacting us, see the details at the bottom of this page. We'll respond as quickly as we genuinely can.

9 Keeping it safe

We take real, practical steps to protect your data, including encrypting sensitive information and never storing full payment details ourselves. No system is ever completely risk free, but we treat your data with the same care we'd want our own treated with.

10 Children

Bassy Events isn't intended for children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please get in touch and we'll remove it.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the platform grows. The date at the top of this page always reflects the last real update, and continuing to use Bassy Events after a change means you accept the updated policy.
